Canada’s biggest comedy export, global comedy rockstar, Russell Peters comes to Malaysia for the first time ever, with all new material as part of his Notorious World Tour. Peters has spent the last three years setting attendance records around the globe; in 2008, he had the largest comedy show in UK history at London’s O2 Arena with 16,000 fans in attendance. He repeated that same feat in 2010 at Sydney, Australia’s Acer Arena, where he had the largest comedy show in Australian history with over 13,000 fans in attendance. In March of this year, Peters became the fastest selling concert in Dubai history. His two shows in Dubai sold-out in eight minutes—faster than Madonna.
Russell Peters Notorious World Tour will last well into 2013 with dates from Muscat to Montreal and from Las Vegas to Cape Town. The shows will feature Russell’s Official Tour DJ; New York City’s DJ Spinbad, as well as video cameras and screens for an up-close and intimate show in an arena setting.
Listed on the Forbes List as one of the top ten Highest Earning Comics in the U.S. in 2009 and 2010, Russell Peters has spent the past 23 years building a career to become one of the biggest comics in the world. Thanks to YouTube and a global following, Peters has sold-out arenas from Madison Square Garden to the Sydney Opera House. Peters has also performed for the troops in Afghanistan, Iraq and on the USS Eisenhower and appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Lopez Tonight, Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and HBO, CNN, MTV and the BBC. His two recent specials, Red, White and Brown and The Green Card Tour LIVE from the O2 Arena, were broadcast on Showtime Networks and Comedy Central, and became best-selling DVD’s across Canada with over 200,000 copies sold. Peters’ 2010 memoir, Call Me Russell was a Globe and Mail number one bestseller in Canada and will be released in the US in April, 2012. Peters was recently seen in the movies, Source Code and the 2011 highest grossing English language film in Canada, the Punjabi-Canadian ice hockey film, Breakaway.”

KennyG in KL 2012

Wanted to go watch this concert, but I guessed I was too busy, too late.
Yesterday I was busy finishing Security Camera story in the office, and also needed to prepare for Q&A Saturday. We had a late office meeting, and it was raining.
All the factor's weren't right for me to catch this concert way up in Genting Highlands, so I end up not going.  I was reminded of Kenny G's saxophone performance when Whitney Houston died.
In her song I Will Always Love You, Kenny G played a solo which was mesmerising and powerful.
Once again, I was reminded by how talented he was, and wanted to catch the opportunity to see his performance, alas, yesterday was not the day.

Revamped this old blog

Wow, this blog is really old, started in 2007, and was left unattended after two posts. I can feel the heavy dust swirling as I tap into it. Now this is the new version, and I hope to get i updated with new of upcoming events.

I am in office on a Sunday

How time flies, when I sit in front of the computer in office. The things that i like to do are usually left to the end after i am done tinkering with my computer. I am here today to complete tempo for Monday. I like to be a day ahead in my work, so that I don't have to rush in the morning to do my work. At this hour, I still haven't started, being too engrossed in setting up this blog, I guess. Then I heard the bad news, they are going to clean up individual tables tomorrow morning if things are not cleared. My office table is always in a flux. and things are never cleared, no matter how much I want it to be. I hope they don't touch my things. Anyway it is already 5pm, looks like i will be spending the whole day here if I am to make any progress.

The first post

Hi, welcome to this blog What Am I Up To Lately. I got this idea during a friend's 30th birthday party recently, and i thought why not? I feel it is a good way to keep in touch with people I meet, and to remember the good moments that pass us by like water under the bridge. I have always dig the idea of blogging. When I was younger I used to buy those 400-page notebooks as my journal, where I pour my heart into it. Then I use a floopy disk to record my thoughts before starting work everyday. I find it is a good way to stash your thoughts away before starting on something new. But the disk was stolen by some office jerks. Then I started blogging on blogger.com, butI found my thoughts was not coming through. So the blog was left like an unfinished building in a construction site. The I experimented with wordpress, which I found to be quite neat, but realised it had evere limitations - from the amount of space allowed to post your pictures, and you can't even add html codes on it. Then when my colleague showed me the features of the new blogger.com, I was really impressed. I think blogger.com has come a long way, and now with its user friendly features, it is certainly here to stay. Now I am ready to hit the saddle again, and hopefully this time it will be for good. i want to blog everyday and as often as I can. I want to feature all the great and happy moments that I come across lately. And what about this blog that makes it different? I guess What I Am Up To Lately will sum up all my thoughts, experiences and activities that makes life worth living. Well you are never sure of what tomorrow holds, so better make the full use of today.

WELCOME TO MY WORLD
Day-by-Day, we meet people, we go places and do things that changes our outlook and enrich our life experiences. Every step is a milestone to get us a ahead in life. These precious moments are lost like water under the bridge unless we take the trouble to pause and record them. I am glad to finally come out with a blog called What I Am Up To Lately. Simple though it seems, here I seek to write about the daily happenings and events in my life and record them for posterity. Feel free to post your comments and share your experiences here.
Good luck, and drop by soon!
